Karachi, 19 March 2026. The offline learning platform built by Gray Mines has completed its pilot and is now in daily use in classrooms across three regions.
Lessons, quizzes and videos download overnight while the school's connection is quiet, and run from the device during the day. Students' work is saved locally and sent back whenever the network allows.
Built for the gaps
Many of the devices in use are shared and several years old, so the platform was designed to be small, fast and frugal with storage.
“The students stopped asking whether the internet was working. That was the moment we knew it was.”
Next term
The next release gives teachers a view of progress across their class, even when they are offline.
